We just learned a new word 马马虎虎 (mǎmǎhǔhǔ). But where does it lie in the range of expressions used to describe the qualities of things?
不好 (bù hǎo) ,差 (chà) ,坏 (huài)
It goes from That’s wonderful (好极了) to bad (坏). Now I hope you know how to express exactly how you feel.

ReplyDeleteI might put mamahuhu (馬馬虎虎)which means "mediocre" a half or quarter notch below bucuo (不錯) which literally translates as "not bad" but (confusingly!) sometimes seems to mean "not so good" but other times to mean "unexpectedly good." All depends on context I guess.

ReplyDeleteOn my opinion the best way to learn any language is to have constant speaking practice. In such case the best way is to find a tutor and native speakers. I can advise https://preply.com/en/london-UK/chinese-tutors for searching native speaking tutors. I've learnt Chinese using this website. All other methods you can use as aditional way to gain new knowledge and practice already completed material. But I'm looking for new methods to improve my skiils. Can you help me?
